Scope of Services

My services encompass a comprehensive range of graphic design and marketing solutions, tailored to enhance your brand's visibility and engagement. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation of brand identity guidelines, print and digital marketing materials, event signage and promotional items, and compelling presentation designs. Each project will be approached with a custom strategy, developed in close collaboration with you to ensure it aligns with your specific goals and brand values. Details of the services provided, including deliverables, project milestones, and any specific client responsibilities, will be clearly outlined in the project proposal to ensure a mutual understanding and smooth project flow.

Project Initiation and Completion

The process begins with a consultation to understand your unique needs and objectives. Following this, a proposal detailing the project scope, timelines, and costs will be provided for your approval. A project kickoff occurs once an initial deposit is received, marking the commencement of our creative partnership. I adhere to a structured timeline, offering regular updates to ensure transparency and alignment with your vision. Upon completion of the project, the final deliverables will be provided to the client in the agreed-upon format. It is essential for the client to review the deliverables promptly and provide feedback within the specified timeframe to facilitate project completion. Once the final revisions are implemented and the client approves the deliverables, the project will be considered complete, and any remaining balance will be due for payment.

Revisions

Revisions are an essential part of the design process to ensure client satisfaction and achieve the perfect result. To ensure your complete contentment, we provide multiple phases of revisions for each project stage, allowing adjustments in design, color schemes, typography, and minor layout modifications. However, please note that substantial revisions made beyond the agreed-upon limit may result in extra charges at our standard hourly rate. To maintain project efficiency, we kindly request that all feedback be consolidated and provided within one to two days of receiving each draft. It is important for clients to provide clear and concise feedback during the revision process to expedite the completion of the project. Our goal is to accommodate reasonable revision requests in a timely manner to deliver a final product that meets your expectations.

Payments

As a small business, Designs By Katie requires a non-refundable deposit fee of $15.00 to begin any project after submitting the Katie By Designs Project form. This deposit ensures commitment and secures your spot in our project queue, helping us manage our resources and schedule efficiently. Please note that all printing is handled by a professional printer selected by us, which incurs a standard fee of $10, along with any additional printing costs determined by the specific requirements of your project. Any other expenses, such as stock imagery or extra printing costs, will be included in the final project invoice. The final payment, reflecting an hourly rate of $25 plus any additional expenses, is due upon delivery of the final project files.

Cancellation Policy

However, in the event of a project cancellation, we require written notification as soon as possible. The cancellation fee will be determined based on the time spent on the project and any expenses incurred up to that point. Any deposits or payments made prior to cancellation are non-refundable. I strive to handle cancellations with fairness and professionalism, and I appreciate your understanding in this matter. Designs By Katie will charge you for the work completed up to the point of cancellation, and the client will be responsible for paying for the hours of work that were put in before the cancellation occurred. The initial deposit is non-refundable.

Intellectual property and Rights

Designs By Katie retains ownership of all intellectual property rights associated with the designs and materials created for the client, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Upon full payment for the services provided, the client is granted a non-exclusive license to use the completed materials for their intended purpose. However, this license does not include the right to modify, reproduce, or distribute the designs for commercial purposes without prior consent from Designs By Katie. Any unauthorized use or reproduction of the materials may result in legal action. Additionally, Designs By Katie reserves the right to showcase completed work in portfolios or promotional materials, unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

Confidentiality

At Designs By Katie, we understand the importance of protecting our clients' sensitive information. Therefore, I maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of our collaboration. Any information shared by the client, including but not limited to business strategies, proprietary data, and project details, will be treated with the utmost discretion and will not be disclosed to third parties without explicit consent. Designs By Katie are bound by non-disclosure agreements to ensure the confidentiality of all client-related information. Rest assured that your trust in us is valued, and we are committed to upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism throughout our engagement.

Limitation of Liability

While Designs By Katie strives to deliver high-quality services and products, we acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may arise. Therefore, we limit our liability to the extent permitted by law. In no event shall Designs By Katie be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption. Our liability is further restricted to the total amount paid by the client for the specific services rendered. By engaging our services, clients agree to release Designs By Katie from any claims, liabilities, or disputes arising from our work, acknowledging that our liability is limited to the extent outlined in these terms and conditions.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bellevue, Washington. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms and conditions, including the validity, interpretation, and performance thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bellevue, Washington. By engaging with Designs By Katie's services, clients agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bellevue for the resolution of any disputes or claims arising from our services.

Amendments and Acceptance

Designs By Katie reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Clients are encouraged to review these terms periodically for any changes. Continued use of our services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If a client disagrees with any part of the terms and conditions, they should refrain from using our services.
